Job summary

Bield Housing & Care in Glasgow is seeking a dedicated Cook/Chef to join our Carntyne Gardens development and help deliver high-quality meals tailored to residents' dietary needs. This part-time role offers 28 hours per week with fixed shifts: Week 1 Tue- Fri 10:00-17:30 and Week 2 Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun 10:00-17:30, plus a 30 minute unpaid break.

You will manage flexible meals service, assist with ordering within budget, and uphold food hygiene and safety standards as part of a supportive housing

New Cook Position in Glasgow!

Are you looking for a challenging role where you can learn new skills and deliver great food? Are you experienced in catering and managing dietary requirements?

The role of a chef/cook within our Carntyne Gardens development is more than just cooking. You will be working with our team to provide a high quality of life for those that need it.

Hours of employment is 28 hours a week.

Week 1 - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 10:00 am to 5:30 pm

Week 2 - Monday , Friday , Saturday and sunday - 10:00 am to 5:30 pm

30 Minutes unpaid break.

You will be -

• Responsible for the provision of a flexible meals service, offering high quality, freshly prepared meals and value for money to tenants in a retirement housing service.
• Assisting with the ordering, purchasing and storing of food commodities working within the food budget.
• Ensuring all food hygiene and health and safety standards set by Bield and where appropriate outside regulators are met and actively promote such standards within the development.
