Job summary

Bield Housing and Care in Cumbernauld is seeking a weekend cook to join our team, delivering high quality meals and supporting tenants with dietary requirements.

This on-site, part-time role involves 14 hours per week on Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 to 18:00, with a competitive hourly rate and opportunities for training. We offer enhanced pension, generous holidays, and access to learning and development opportunities.

Job description

Are you looking for a challenging role where you can learn new skills and deliver great food? Are you experienced in catering and managing dietary requirements?

The role of a chef/cook within our Campsie Gardens development is more than just cooking. You will be working with our team to provide a high quality of life for those that need it.

Hours of employment

14 hours a week - Saturday and Sundays - 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for the provision of a flexible meals service, offering high quality, freshly prepared meals and value for money to tenants in a retirement housing service.
• Assisting with the ordering, purchasing and storing of food commodities working within the food budget.
• Ensuring all food hygiene and health and safety standards set by Bield and where appropriate outside regulators are met and actively promote such standards within the development.
