Base pay range

Role: Cook and Resident Support

Location: Crosby

Hourly Rate: £13.21-£13.62

Contract: 25 hrs p/w

Work Pattern: 09:00-14:00 five shifts per week including alternating weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Confidently cook for up to 8 residents, ensuring nutritious and delicious meals are served.
• Be available for optional overtime when needed for cover.
• Maintain organization and readiness to address various challenges as they arise.
• Understand and prioritize excellent customer service, particularly concerning the needs of older people.
• Possess basic computer skills (experience with Outlook and Excel is beneficial); training will be provided for additional systems.

About The Role

At Abbeyfield Living Society, we strive to create a community where residents feel empowered, safe, and respected. Our team provides a friendly face and ensures a warm, clean environment where residents can enjoy a tasty home-cooked meal, fostering comfort and peace of mind in their later years.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for residents to report any issues, ensuring their wellbeing and safety. You will investigate and escalate concerns as necessary. Budget management and basic computer skills will be advantageous, but full support and training will be provided by our friendly and supportive staff.

Please Note: This role requires eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory employment references, and a Standard DBS check , the cost of which will be covered by Abbeyfield Living Society.
