Job summary

Bowden Derra Park Limited is seeking a reliable Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for service users and staff. You will work daytime hours in a 2-week rota, ensuring high hygiene standards and accommodating dietary needs.

The role supports a welcoming dining experience within a care setting. Daily shifts are 07:00–15:00 with every other weekend off, offering consistent hours and a structured schedule.

Salary: £13.50 per hour (weekdays) / £14.00 per hour (weekends)

Hours: 07:00–15:00

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic cook to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing nutritious meals and creating a welcoming dining experience for service users and staff.

Working a consistent 2-week shift pattern, you’ll benefit from structured hours and every other weekend off, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Shift Pattern:

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve nutritious, well-balanced meals for service users and staff
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times
• Work collaboratively with care and café staff to meet individual dietary requirements
• Contribute to a warm, welcoming, and positive dining experience

About You

• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment preferred
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Food Hygiene Certificate desirable)
• Ability to cater for different dietary needs
• A team player with a positive and caring attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and well organised
