Avon Search is seeking an experienced Care Home Cook in Worthing to join the kitchen team. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for up to 28 residents, meeting dietary needs and adhering to high hygiene standards.

The role requires prior cooking experience in care settings, with a Food Hygiene Certificate preferred. The position offers a friendly team and stable hours in a specialist residential care home.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook, Chef, or Care Home Cook.
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above desirable).
• Experience cooking for older adults or in a healthcare setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals for up to 28 residents.
• Cater for specialist diets and nutritional requirements.
• Plan varied menus reflecting resident preferences and seasonal produce.
• Maintain food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering provisions.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety and HACCP procedures.
