Base pay range

Location: Downing House Care Home, Swinbourne Grove, Withington, Manchester, M20 4PP

Role: Cook - Bank Agreement

Pay: £13.24 p/h

Role Responsibilities

1. Hold a relevant Certificate in Food Hygiene or be willing to obtain one within three months.
2. Demonstrate experience in cooking varied, healthy, and safe meals for large groups (12-20 people).
3. Communicate effectively with residents and team members.
4. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring effective stock control and rotation.
5. Show understanding of nutritional needs of older adults and prepare suitable meals.
6. Plan and create menus in consultation with residents and staff, considering dietary needs.
7. Manage supplies and stock, ensuring timely ordering and accurate record-keeping.
8. Use equipment safely and report any defects.
9. Adhere to health and safety standards, including COSHH regulations, and keep records updated.
