Job summary

Agincare is hiring a Cook for the Sunnymeade Care Home in Chard on a bank (zero-hour) contract. The role runs 7am–4pm and involves planning menus, managing dietary requirements, and maintaining kitchen standards.

What is required from you?

A day in the life of a Cook

• Menu planning - Collaborating with the home manager and our residents' requests and wishes, you will be able to develop and implement menu ideas. Our homes are always having themed days and events where you can showcase your skills and creativity.
• Understanding dietary needs - You will work closely with the wider staff to ensure we are meeting our residents' specific nutritional and dietary needs including modified food textures and allergies.
• Kitchen Management - You will be the main point of contact for the kitchen and responsible for the day-to-day running of stock management and hygiene standards.
