Secure building working allowance

Job summary

The Recruitment co invites applications for a Cook position in Bangor. The successful candidate will work 9:00 to 17:00, with weekend shifts, and must complete vetting and ANI paperwork. A monthly allowance of £60.42 or £15.10 weekly is provided as secure building working allowance.

Shift pattern follows a four-week cycle with some variation to meet operational needs. Experience in professional cookery is required, along with adherence to high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months demonstrable experience as a Cook in a professional setting

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and beverages according to Woodlands and JJC standards.
• Deal with special dietary needs by following the catering manager's instructions.
• Assist with compiling, distributing and collating menus to meet dietary requirements.
• Maintain a professional, clean and hygienic kitchen in line with food safety regulations and COSHH.
• Carry out cleaning duties and assist with cleaning rotas as per Safe Food Policy.
• Inspect equipment and report faults to the Catering Manager.

Education

Level 3 NVQ – Diploma in Professional Cookery OR City & Guilds 705/706 or equivalent
