Job summary

Lakeview care home in Leigh, Wigan, is seeking an experienced Cook to join our catering team. You’ll cook delicious, healthy and nutritious meals for the people we support, contributing to positive dining experiences.

Role: Full Time – 40 Hours per week, 8am – 6pm, rate £13.27 per hour. We offer induction, buddy support and ongoing training to help you settle in and progress.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook in a care or similar environment.
• Ability to cook nutritious meals for varied dietary needs.
• Understanding of food hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll cook delicious, healthy and nutritious meals for the people we support in our care home.

Meal times are an important part of our daily routine, even moreseo for those living in care homes.

In this role, you’ll ensure that everyone has a positive dining experience, to increase nutritional intake, promote social interaction and build a sense of community.
