A leading care provider in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a passionate Cook to join their team. You will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for residents with complex learning disabilities, ensuring high hygiene standards and managing kitchen operations. This part-time role offers creative opportunities for catering at special events and a supportive work environment.
Part time, 20 hours
Shift pattern: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 09:00 - 14:00
Birnbeck House is home for up to 13 adults with complex learning disabilities. We are in Weston-super-Mare, close to the beach and the town centre. Some rooms have sea views and we have lovely gardens to enjoy. Birnbeck offers high-quality residential care so that people can live their lives to the full.

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our great team. You will be required to deliver a varied menu that is healthy and nutritionally balanced, meeting specific dietary requirements for customers in our residential care home.
Working within an agreed budget, you will have responsibility for an efficiently run kitchen, supervising staff who will assist in food preparation. You will ensure that exceptional levels of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times, meeting Health, Safety and other regulatory requirements.
There is also the opportunity to become even more creative, providing catering for our functions and special events. Helping us to celebrate a great range of events throughout the year is a brilliant part of this role!
