Job summary

Jobtrain in Stockton-on-Tees is recruiting a Cook for a 35-hour week at £13.72 per hour. You will prepare nutritious meals, plan menus, and work with a caring team at Riverway Lodge in Thornaby. The role includes weekend shifts and flexible weekday coverage.

Essential experience in catering is required, with health and social care exposure preferred. Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and leadership in a kitchen are key for success.

Cook – Stockton-on-Tees- 35 hours - £13.72 per hour

Shift: 10:00am - 5:00pm - To work flexibly weekdays & weekends.

Weekends are alternate / every other weekend.

We're on the hunt for a Cook to join us in our brand new neurological behaviour service in Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees - Riverway Lodge. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Cook with us you'll be enhancing the quality of life of the people we support through the preparation and cooking of nutritious, balanced meals. Our Cooks are the backbone of the kitchen, ensuring that the people we support are offered balanced, nutritious meals that promote their health and wellbeing. Not only will you be cooking and preparing these meals, you will be producing meal plans, ensuring the kitchen is cleaned to a high standard, checking in kitchen deliveries and stock take, working closely alongside other kitchen colleagues and working closely with our colleagues that provide support to help them further enhance the people we support's independent living skills.

We're interested in our Cooks having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Cooks should have previous experience working in a catering/kitchen environment, experience working in health and social care, experience leading a kitchen team and relevant qualifications and understanding of food hygiene regulations.
