South Yorkshire Housing Association in Sheffield is seeking a part-time Cook for The Lister Project. The role involves preparing, cooking and serving meals for up to 25 residents within a care home setting, on a two-week rolling rota.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and serve healthy nutritious food - Lunch and Dinner for up to 25 residents.
• To order goods to be used in the kitchen and to operate the stock control.
• To work in accordance with and maintain health and safety procedures.
• To clean all areas of the kitchen and assist in domestic chores.
• To liaise with the other cook and Registered Manager to ensure a coordinated approach is maintained.
• To involve residents in menu choices and the preparation of food where appropriate.
