Job description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a Cook, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.85 - £16.61 per hour

Summary:

We are looking for a caring and experienced Cook to prepare meals for adults with complex needs. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of Dysphagia assessments and be able to prepare appropriate meals tailored to individual dietary requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for adults with complex needs
• Follow guidelines for Dysphagia and texture-modified diets
• Work alongside healthcare staff to ensure safe and suitable meal provision
• Maintain hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness

Requirements:

• Experience cooking in a care or support setting
• Knowledge of Dysphagia and texture-modified diets (IDDSI levels preferred)
• Food hygiene certification
• Compassionate and flexible approach
