Belle Vue Care Home - Belle Vue Road - Paignton - TQ4 6ER

£13.26 per hr

6 hours for 4 days, Wed, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. This is every other weekend.

Belle Vue Care Home is a Harbour Healthcare Home, 'Caring, fun and family-run!' The home is purpose-built and situated in the heart of the local community, close to bus routes. We have a happy atmosphere that reflects our focus on residents’ happiness and wellbeing.

Summary of Position:

We are seeking a part-time Chef/Cook to join our team, including some weekends. The ideal candidate will have culinary and management experience and will be responsible for kitchen functions such as ordering supplies, food preparation, maintaining quality standards, sanitation, cleanliness, and supervising staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Support the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and snacks, considering residents’ dietary preferences and needs.
  2. Manage stock and order supplies.
  3. Plan menus.
  4. Maintain food safety checks and records as per company policies.
  5. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  6. Follow Health and Safety protocols.
  7. Keep equipment and food service areas clean and well-maintained.
  8. Collaborate with the Activities Team for special events.
  9. Manage budgets.
  10. Supervise staff and complete employee reviews timely.
  11. Schedule rotas.
