Job summary

CareTech Community Services are seeking a Cook for Devon School in Paignton. The role is 20 hours per week during term time, with a 6-month fixed-term contract, paying £11,337.32 per annum. The successful candidate will lead a small kitchen team, plan menus with dietary considerations, and ensure high standards of food hygiene and safety.

Daily meal preparation, catering for meetings and events, and ongoing training are included to support compliance and quality service.

The school:

Devon School is an independent specialist provision for students aged 7 to 18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment where students can access learning that is tailored to their individual needs.
