Job summary

The Ashton Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Cook to prepare and deliver nutritious meals that meet dietary needs while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene.

You will work as part of a supportive team to plan menus, using fresh ingredients and contributing to a varied dining experience. The role offers a stable pattern with no late evenings and requires alternating weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience working in a kitchen or food preparation role.
• Demonstrate good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

As Cook, you will play an important role in preparing and delivering high quality, nutritious meals that support wellbeing and enhance daily life. You will prepare and serve meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety are maintained at all times. Working with fresh ingredients, you will support menu planning and contribute to a varied and balanced dining experience. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. With no late evenings or split shifts, this role offers a consistent routine and strong work life balance while still allowing you to take pride in delivering quality food every day. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

• £14.04 per hour
• Contracted to 40 hours per week
