Job summary

The Ashton Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Cook to prepare and deliver nutritious meals that meet dietary needs while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene.

You will work as part of a supportive team to plan menus, using fresh ingredients and contributing to a varied dining experience. The role offers a stable pattern with no late evenings and requires alternating weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience working in a kitchen or food preparation role.
• Demonstrate good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high quality, nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences.
• Ensure presentation, hygiene and food safety standards are maintained.
• Support menu planning and contribute to a varied and balanced dining experience.
• Work as part of a supportive team to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Maintain a consistent working pattern with no late evenings or split shifts.
