Eclipse Hotels Group is seeking a Cook for Breakfast & Dinner Service at Holiday Inn Express Poole. You will join a developing employer with a passion for delivering first class service and a quality employee experience.

Prepare and present meals to high standards, work per brand guidelines, and maintain food safety and cleanliness in a busy hotel kitchen environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel experience as a Cook or Commis Chef.
• Solid understanding of food safety practices and hygiene.
• Good administrative skills for health & safety tasks.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and able to build rapport with colleagues.
• Excellent communication skills in all aspects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present meals with a focus on presentation and flavour.
• Follow brand guidelines for breakfast and dinner; minimise waste.
• Know menus and ingredients; answer questions about allergens and provenance.
• Adhere to Food Safety guidelines, including records, storage and temperature control.
• Clear down and reset kitchen areas as required.

What will your key responsibilities and duties be:

• Prepare and present each meal that is a feast for the eyes and a treat for the taste buds. With your own signature flare, you'll be turning our high standards into memorable meals for each one of our guests.
• Ensure that dishes are prepared as per company guidelines, whether this be for breakfast or dinner, reducing wastage where possible.
• Know your menus and products, as our guests and colleagues may ask questions about ingredients, allergens and provenance.
• Follow Food Safety guidelines with regards to records, storage and temperature control.
• Clear down and set up your kitchen area as required.

What we are looking for:

• Previous hotel experience as a Cook, Commis Chef or any other similar roles, ideally from a branded hotel/restaurant background
• A good understanding of food safety.
• Great admin skills, for completing all those Health & Safety/Food Hygiene tasks.
• Proactive, composed, enthusiastic, approachable, able to build strong rapport with other Team Members.
• Excellent communication skills in all aspects;
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
