Job summary

Choice Care is hiring a Cook to prepare and serve healthy meals for residents at Stoke Lodge in Basingstoke. You will oversee weekly budgets, plan menus and ensure dietary needs and safety standards are met. This on-site role involves collaboration with staff and residents to maintain high quality meals.

Salary is £12.80 per hour for 30 hours per week. Benefits include holiday entitlement, sick pay and staff recognition schemes.

Overview of the role

The role of the Cook is to prepare and serve healthy balances meals to residentsin our homes. You will oversee weekly budgets and shopping lists. On occasion you will work alongside other staff or residents in the kitchen making sure everyone’s safety is paramount.

Where will youwork?

Stoke Lodge is a large, detached house, in a residential cul-de-sac, one mile from Basingstoke town centre. The home provides support for up to nine men of varying ages and range of learning disabilities, some with and associated complex needs. To the side of the house is a dedicated building for day activities, including independence skills development, IT and computing and art and crafts. There is also a sensory area. The home has its own transport for local travel and leisure, recreational and educational outings further afield.
