Job summary

Choice Care Group is hiring at Oakley Lodge in Basingstoke. This residential care home supports 12 residents with learning disabilities, autism and related needs. The role involves shift work, including weekends, with a rota and a 48-hour week.

Training is provided to develop your skills, with ongoing mentoring and a clear career path from day one. The team focuses on safety, happiness and fulfilling activities for residents.

Salary: £12.80 to £12.80 Hour

Key duties

• Providing personal care - including bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding
• Medication administration
• Assisting and getting involved in residents' daily activities, hobbies or outings
• Following care plan guidance alongside Company policies and procedures
• Developing an open, honest, and considerate working relationship with residents
• Maintaining written daily records
• Attending and completing training, as required

Personal Attributes

Being patient, reliable, flexible, a team player and a good communicator are key characteristics of a successful Social Care Worker.

Where will you work?

Opened in December 2016, Oakley Lodge in Basingstoke is a purpose-built, residential community home for 12 residents of varying ages with learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs, including those people who present behaviours that challenge. Oakley Lodge has its own Day Activities Coordinator, responsible for developing individual and group activity programmes. A tailor‑made activities building provides a dedicated space for arts and crafts, and skills development.
