Job summary

Convey Law in Newport is seeking an experienced Conveyancer with strong title checking skills to join our permanent Title Checking Team. The role requires handling Freehold, Leasehold, and New Build titles, meeting deadlines, and liaising with live teams on complex transactions.

The ideal candidate has 3 years in conveyancing, 3 years title checking, and a proven track record of managing case files with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience working in conveyancing practice.
• 3 years title checking experience.
• 3 years experience managing case files in your own name.

Responsibilities

• To check the title to Freehold, Leasehold, and New Build titles in accordance with department criteria.
• Meet the time scales and billing targets set by the department.
• Raise necessary and pertinent enquiries as required.
• Report on the title to the premises to the client in a comprehensive and cohesive manner.
• Liaise with live conveyancing teams and provide information for complex transactions.
• Assist with post for the conveyancing teams, including replies to enquiries, management packs, mortgage offers and searches.
• Assist with auditing work as required by management.
• Carry out other tasks as assigned by the Title Checking Manager.
