Simplify is seeking a Conveyancing Technical Lead to drive technical excellence in residential conveyancing, including complex cases like Leasehold, Shared Ownership, and New Build. You will guide risk-based decisions, lead process improvements, and embed AI-driven efficiency while mentoring Legal Technical Specialists.

The role offers hybrid/office-based work with a strong focus on governance, compliance, and continuous improvement across global teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential conveyancing and complex property types (Leasehold, Shared Ownership, New Build, Building Safety Act).
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and make independent, risk-based decisions.
• Experience in auditing, mentoring, and delivering constructive feedback.
• Commercially aware, tech-savvy, and motivated to drive innovation.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels.
• Comfortable interpreting MI/data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Strong understanding of legal compliance, governance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead with technical excellence across conveyancing matters.
• Support complex conveyancing cases with high-quality title checks and risk-based decisions.
• Drive process improvement and audit progressive practices to cut memo-to-exchange times.
• Champion innovation by embedding AI, automation, and case classification into workflows.
• Mentor Legal Technical Specialists through coaching and development.
• Collaborate with Team Managers, Legal Practice leadership, and international teams including Simplify India.
• Shape policy, updates in procedure, legislation, and governance to maintain high standards.
