Job Description:
We are seeking anexperienced Conveyancing Fee Earner to join our dynamic team inStreatham. The ideal candidate will manage a varied caseload ofresidential conveyancing transactions from instruction through topost-completion. As part of a reputable law firm, you will deliverhigh-quality, client-centered service, focusing on efficiency andattention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Independently handle abusy caseload of residential property transactions, including freeholdand leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, andnew build properties.
- Client Interaction: Provide clear andconcise legal advice to clients, ensuring they are updated throughoutthe transaction process.
- Document Preparation: Draft and review contracts, leases, deeds, and other legal documents.
- Due Diligence: Conduct searches,review title documents, identify and resolve issues, and liaise withother parties including solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders.
- Compliance: Ensure all transactionscomply with relevant regulations and internal policies, includinganti-money laundering (AML) requirements.
- Client Retention: Develop strongrelationships with clients, providing high levels of service andmaintaining the firms reputation.
- Post-Completion Tasks: Handle Land Registry registrations, SDLT returns, and other post-completion formalities.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in residential conveyancing, ideally within a busy environment.
- Qualification: Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer, or Solicitor qualified to undertake conveyancing work.
- Technical Knowledge: Strongunderstanding of residential conveyancing processes, property law, andregulatory requirements in the UK.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage a high caseload with excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong interpersonaland communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectivelyinteract with clients and third parties.
- IT Proficiency: Competence in casemanagement systems and Microsoft Office, with experience in usingconveyancing software being an advantage.
