Residential Conveyancing Assistant
Location: Manchester / Hybrid
Salary: Competitive

Are you an experienced and proactive Conveyancing Assistant looking to develop your career in a supportive and fast-paced environment? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and expanding Residential Conveyancing team at a well-respected law firm, offering real progression potential and hands-on experience in a busy department.

The Role:
As a key member of the conveyancing support team, you’ll work closely with Conveyancers and Solicitors to assist with a wide range of residential property transactions from instruction through to post-completion. This is a varied and rewarding position that will see you play a vital role in the smooth and timely progression of client matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to Conveyancers to help manage busy caseloads.
  • Using a Case Management System to maintain accurate, up-to-date files and documentation.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders and third parties via telephone and email.
  • Handling inbound and outbound correspondence in line with agreed service levels.
  • Requesting property searches, AML checks, and final searches.
  • Preparing and submitting contract packs to purchasers.
  • Assisting with the exchange process, including chasing and exchanging contracts when required.
  • Supporting Fee Earners by monitoring their inbox during non-working days.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience in a residential conveyancing role is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and familiar with case management systems.
  • A team player with a proactive and conscientious approach to work.
  • Committed to delivering excellent client service and maintaining high professional standards.
