Job description

My client is a progressive, ambitious, and dynamic law firm with a strong presence across multiple locations in Yorkshire and the North East. Committed to delivering comprehensive legal solutions, they take pride in their expanding team and the diverse range of services they provide to their clients.

As a Conveyancer, based at any of their various offices, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on all aspects of purchasing and selling residential properties, including both freehold and leasehold transactions.

This role involves managing your own caseload, supporting the Residential Property team, and actively contributing to the growth and development of the department. You will also be expected to proactively identify business opportunities and utilise marketing initiatives to support the department’s ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on all aspects of freehold and leasehold residential property transactions.
  • Manage a varied caseload, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity, new builds, Right to Buy, and shared ownership purchases.
  • Oversee residential property transactions from initial instruction through to completion.
  • Provide support to the Residential Property team and assist the Head of Department in driving growth and development.
  • Proactively seek and secure business leads, contributing to the marketing efforts of the department.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships in line with the firm’s values.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ PQE; however, applications from candidates with varying levels of experience are welcomed.
  • Proven ability to manage a wide range of residential property transactions from instruction to completion.
  • Experience handling a varied and busy caseload, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity, new builds, Right to Buy, and shared ownership purchases.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and using initiative effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain long-term client relationships aligned with the firm’s ethos.

Our client offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes hybrid working options and a day off on your birthday. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and expanding team.
