Jaguar Land Rover is seeking a Controls & Test Manager to shape propulsion manufacturing across our Wolverhampton facilities. You’ll lead a team of controls, test and manufacturing systems engineers, set architecture standards, and drive digitalisation initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in controls, automation, test engineering and industrial software within high-volume manufacturing.
• Led technical teams in manufacturing systems, controls, automation or test engineering.
• Applied expertise across Siemens and Rockwell PLC platforms, industrial communications and system integration.
• Developed software solutions using Python, C#, SQL and related industrial apps.
• Experience with robotics, data analytics and digital manufacturing; propulsion or battery knowledge is a plus.

• Drive improvements in manufacturing performance, reducing downtime, scrap and variation.
• Define and standardise controls, automation and reporting architectures across facilities.

As a Controls & Test Manager, you’ll lead technical excellence across propulsion manufacturing, influencing how cutting-edge systems are designed, tested and continuously improved. WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills and experiences that you’ll need to help you succeed here, including:

• Demonstrating extensive experience in controls, automation, test engineering and industrial software development within high-volume manufacturing environments
• Leading technical teams within manufacturing systems, controls, automation or test engineering functions
• Applying expertise across Siemens and Rockwell PLC platforms, industrial communications and manufacturing system integration
• Developing software solutions using technologies such as Python, C#, SQL and related industrial applications
• Bringing experience of advanced manufacturing technologies, robotics, data analytics and digital manufacturing solutions, with propulsion or battery manufacturing knowledge being advantageous
