adi Group is seeking an experienced Automation Control Systems Engineer to design, develop and implement control systems for automated processes. You will work with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable and effective automation solutions.

You will design, program and integrate PLC, HMI and SCADA systems using Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) and/or Siemens platforms, and support testing, commissioning and on-going optimisation across diverse sectors such as food,

Qualifications

• Experience as a Control Systems Engineer in an industrial automation environment.
• Design and programming of PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) and/or Siemens PLC platforms.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to understand requirements and prepare proposals.
• Design, develop and program PLC, HMI and SCADA control systems.
• Develop PLC software using Rockwell Automation and/or Siemens platforms.

Location - Wirral, Liverpool

About the Role

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing control systems for automated processes. You will work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable and effective automation solutions.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

• Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and, where necessary, preparing engineering solutions and costed proposals.
• Designing, developing and programming PLC, HMI and SCADA control systems to meet customer specifications.
• Developing PLC control software using Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) and/or Siemens platforms.
• Designing and implementing HMI and SCADA systems.
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standards.
• Working closely with electrical design, process safety and control software engineers to deliver turnkey automation projects.
• Supporting testing and commissioning activities and resolving control system issues.
• Working across sectors including food, beverage, chemical, marine and materials handling.

About you

• Previous experience as a Control Systems Engineer within an industrial automation environment.
• Experience designing and programming PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) and/or Siemens PLC platforms.
• A good understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
