The Fox, a leading engineering group in Wakefield, seeks a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and deliver PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions for diverse clients. You will own end-to-end delivery from development through testing and handover, collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to meet milestones.

Applicants should have strong PLC programming across major platforms, experience with HMI/SCADA tooling, robotics integration, and machine vision knowledge, with a solid grasp of

Qualifications

• Proven PLC programming across major platforms.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA development.
• Experience with industrial robotics in automated environments.
• Hands-on machine vision knowledge (Cognex/Keyence).
• Knowledge of industrial networks and safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and deliver PLC, HMI, and SCADA control system solutions aligned to project outcomes.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation including FDS, system architectures, and wiring diagrams.
• Take ownership of end-to-end project deliverables from development through to testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to meet milestones.
• Conduct system testing, including FAT and SAT, ensuring safety requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across control systems, software, and communications.
• Provide training and documentation to support system handover, with support services defined separately from core delivery.
