Job summary
Proactive Global is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer in Stoke-on-Trent to design and develop electrical control systems for specialist industrial equipment. You will program PLCs (Rockwell Studio 5000, CODESYS), create HMI screens, and manage BoMs, ECOs and documentation.

Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
- 2–3 years' experience in electrical engineering, automation or controls.
- Experience programming PLCs using Rockwell Studio 5000 and/or CODESYS.
- Strong understanding of electrical control systems and automation principles.
- Willingness to travel for installations and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Interpret specifications and develop electrical designs and documentation.
- Produce BoMs and manage engineering records and ECOs.
- Program and configure PLCs, HMI screens, VFDs and servo drives.
- Support testing, commissioning and on-site installations.
- Collaborate across engineering, R&D, production and service teams.
- Contribute to product development, QA and safety compliance.
