Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Controls Engineer (Design/Program/Commission) in Glasgow. The role focuses on delivering controls and automation projects from enquiry through to client handover, with a strong emphasis on design, development, and close collaboration with clients and internal teams.

You will work on PLC/SCADA/HMI systems within BMS and energy management, with a mix of office work and occasional site visits.

Are you an Controls Engineer or Electrical Project Engineer or similar, looking for an exciting role at a rapidly expanding BMS, energy management, and bespoke controls system business, where you will be the technical go to in a varied role where you can take ownership of projects from concept through to client handover?

Do you want the chance to become a key player in an expanding project/controls team, at a business who since their creation, have seen steady growth to where they are now the go to company to monitor, analyse, and optimize energy and HVAC infrastructure across a variety of commercial and industrial settings and projects?

In this role you will be responsible for delivering controls and automation projects from initial enquiry to project completion as well as working closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects. You will further be responsible for supporting the design and development of control and automation systems, and working with a variety of PLC, SCADA, HMI and control/automation systems.

This role would suit a Controls Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, or similar, looking for a varied and exciting role, with great technical development opportunities, in a growing control division in a rapidly expanding business, with great company benefits.
