Job description

Role: Controls Engineer

Location: Southall

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 0700 - 1530

Salary: £65,000

Synergi is seeking a Controls Engineer to work for a leading food manufacturer in West London, requiring strong mechanical and electrical skills. You will be responsible for control systems within workshops, plant rooms, and production environments. Your primary goal will be to ensure that processes and systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably.

Responsibilities:

• Health & Safety: Meet all personal and role responsibilities as required under the company health and safety at work policy.
• Manpower, Machinery & Procedures: Display a clear shop floor focus, spending 95% of your time on the shop floor building relationships with production and seeking issues before they arise. Ensure all reactive and proactive maintenance is completed 'Right First Time' (RFT) and in a timely manner.

Experience and Skills:

• Mechanical skills, including a full understanding of power transmission systems, product manufacturing, and transport systems.
• Ability to assist in in-house fabrication works such as milling and welding.
• Electrical skills, including fault finding of all electrical systems up to PLC level, with experience in Siemens S7 preferred.
• Ability to understand electrical diagrams is essential.

Overtime and call-out rates will be applicable. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
