Job Description

Role: Controls Engineer

Location: Southall

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday

Salary: £65,000

Synergi is looking for a Controls Engineer to work for a leading food manufacturer in West London with strong mechanical and electrical skills. You will be responsible for control systems within workshops, plant rooms, and production environments. Your primary goal will be to ensure that processes and systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably.

Duties
  • Health & Safety: Meet all personal and role responsibilities as required under the company's health and safety at work policy.
  • Machinery & Procedures: Display a clear shop floor focus - spend 95% of your time on the shop floor building relationships with production teams, seeking issues before they arise.
  • Maintenance: Using your dual-skilled approach, ensure all reactive and proactive maintenance is completed 'Right First Time' (RFT) and in a timely manner.
Experience and Skills
  • Mechanical skills including full understanding of power transmission systems, product manufacturing, and transport systems.
  • Ability to assist in in-house fabrication works (milling, welding, etc.).
  • Electrical skills including diagnostic ability in fault finding of all electrical systems up to and including PLC level, with experience of Siemens S7.
  • Ability to understand electrical diagrams is essential.

  • Overtime and call-out rates will be applicable.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
