Due to recent expansion, we are seeking experienced Controls Commissioning Engineers to join our UK Commissioning team and support Dematic’s wider EMEA project portfolio.

As a Controls Commissioning Engineer, you will perform electrical and PLC software commissioning activities within the project’s scope, budget, and timeline. You will ensure activities follow standards to meet customer requirements.

Tasks and Qualifications

Main Job Objectives:

• Deliver project scope meeting safety, quality, on-time delivery, and budget targets.
• Commission controls systems on-site, including electrical and PLC software, and support testing and end-user training.
• Produce commissioning documentation such as checklists, test specs, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments compliant with BS EN ISO 12100.
• Interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
• Ensure systems are CE compliant with Machinery Directive.
• Commission safety-related control system parts per regulations and standards like BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Dematic’s professional image with honesty and attention to quality.
• Build good relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate with other departments, customers, and subcontractors.
• Adhere to Dematic standards and policies.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes for better project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or HNC/HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering.
• Experience with controls and electrical commissioning.
• Proficiency with Siemens (S7, TIA) or Allen-Bradley (RSLogix) software.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Project, Outlook.
• SCADA experience (WinCC, Iconics, Ignition) is desirable.
• Knowledge of industrial networks like Profinet, Profibus, EthernetIP.
• Understanding of automated warehouses is a plus.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%, domestically and internationally.
• Full driver’s license required.
