What Can You Expect?

We’re looking for motivated, compassionate individuals who are structured and committed to providing outstanding customer experiences.You would be joining us in the role of Controller/Planner, where you will be responsible for planning and controlling the daily movement of medically eligible patient journeys to and from their healthcare appointments in our non-emergency ambulances.

The aim of this role is to ensure precise controlling and planning of the ambulances, to allow eligible patients to get to and from their appointments in a timely manner, whilst ensuring mobility requirements of the booked journey are met.

We offer full-time, permanent positions, working 37.5 hours per week across a flexible schedule from Monday to Sunday, between 6am - 10pm.

Summary Of Main Duties Include

  • Planning and controlling the daily movement of ambulance journeys transporting eligible patients to and from their healthcare appointments.
  • Allocating of physical resources and patient journeys using the Cleric System to our crew members and Volunteer Car Service workers.
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals and hospital departments to ensure that we are able to maximise the utilisation of the available vehicles and staff.
  • Building effective relationships with crews in order to ensure the best possible patient experience.
  • To work within a team to make decisions about transportation which deliver the best outcomes for patients.

We are Looking for Great People Who:

  • Experience of working in a similar transport control environment, using logistical and planning skills.
  • Ability to plan appropriate journey routes for drivers.
  • Problem solving ability for any challenges that may occur during day control.
  • Customer service focused and able to effectively handle sensitive situations.
  • Have a good geographic knowledge of the area.
  • Be able to stay calm under pressure.
