Job summary

Alpine Racing Limited in Enstone invites applications for a 1-year Control Systems Student Placement starting July 2027. You will collaborate with software, electronics and performance teams to develop, test and deploy control software and hardware for the race car, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance.

The role requires studying Electrical/Electronic/Automotive/Mechatronics or Motorsport Engineering in your penultimate year, with knowledge of control theory and embedded systems.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Electrical, Electronic, Automotive, Mechatronics, or Motorsport Engineering.
• Penultimate year university placement candidate.
• Solid understanding of control theory, embedded systems and vehicle dynamics.
• Experience with programming languages.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not provided.
• Available for onsite assessment centre in September.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and validating control algorithms and software.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop testing and calibration activities.
• Maintain documentation and configuration of control systems.
• Contribute to fault diagnosis and performance optimisation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration.
