Job summary

Armstrong Fluid Technology in Droitwich Spa, UK, is seeking a permanent, on-site Control System Design Engineer to manage drawing revisions, review P&IDs, and ensure accurate documentation in the BOM and routing system. You'll lead DFMA workshops, support NPI, and collaborate with manufacturing, project management, and customers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective controls solutions.

UK driving licence and residency required.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical/Control/Automation engineering or related field.
Experience with industrial control systems, panel design and automation.
Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, schematics and related tech.

Responsibilities

Act as Design Authority for controls projects, promoting standards and continuous improvement.
Design and develop control panels, electrical schematics, and software.
Produce Sequences of Operation, specs, schematics, BOMs and docs.
Manage design revisions and change control with traceability.
Attend client and internal design reviews; support FAT/SAT and commissioning.
Support NPI, DFMA workshops, VA/VE and product standardisation.
Collaborate with manufacturing and customers to deliver cost-effective solutions.
Maintain accurate documentation of process changes in BOM and routing for traceability.
