Job summary

Te-Tech in Southampton seeks a Control Panel Test Engineer to inspect, test and verify control panels, MCCs and automation systems before dispatch. You will ensure compliance with BS EN 61439-2, client requirements and internal procedures for safe and functional assemblies.

The role involves supporting FAT with clients or inspectors, maintaining traceable test records, and contributing to quality improvements in testing processes. Hybrid and site-based options may apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong BS EN 61439-2:2021 testing knowledge.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and GA drawings.
• Proven experience testing control panels, MCCs, or automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience carrying out routine verification testing in accordance with BS EN 61439-2.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test control panels and MCCs prior to dispatch.
• Verify compliance with BS EN 61439-2 and client specs.
• Assist with FAT tests with clients or inspectors.
• Document test results and support non-conformance resolution.
