Job summary

Smart Managed Solutions is seeking a proactive Control of Work Advisor to join our team in Teddington. You will help implement and manage our Control of Work processes, ensuring contractor and project activities are carried out safely and compliantly.

You will review work scopes, RAMS and permits, deliver inductions and training, and provide assurance that safe systems of work are consistently followed on site, working with the Control of Work Manager and client teams.

Qualifications

• Experience managing contractor control and permit-to-work systems within an FM or project environment.
• Strong understanding of health & safety, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate Control of Work activities across site
• Review and approve work scopes, RAMS and permits
• Deliver contractor inductions and Control of Work training
• Monitor compliance through audits, inspections and assurance checks
• Investigate incidents, track actions and drive continuous improvement
• Build strong relationships with client teams, contractors and operational stakeholders

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in implementing and managing our Control of Work processes, ensuring all contractor and project activities are carried out safely, compliantly, and to the highest standards.

Working closely with the Control of Work Manager, you'll review work scopes, RAMS and permit-to-work documentation, deliver contractor inductions and training, and provide assurance that robust safe systems of work are consistently followed across site.
