Job summary

Colchester Borough Council is seeking a Contracts & Projects Technical Officer to provide support to the Contracts & Projects Manager within our Operations Service, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects and supporting all contracts. The post holder will manage small projects, support capital and annual plan projects, and assist with contract renewals.

You will handle project finances, raise purchase orders, process invoices, maintain trackers and budget sheets, and ensure inspections of sites

Qualifications

• Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Full driving licence and access to transport for site travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Contracts & Projects Manager for delivery of projects.
• Support on capital and annual plan projects and manage contract renewals.
• Raise purchase orders, process invoices, update financial trackers and budgets.
• Maintain contracts register and support contract management within timeframes.
• Assist with inspections of operational sites and traffic orders applications.
• Support event requests in parks and open spaces.
