Job summary

Braintree District Council is seeking a Contracts & Projects Technical Officer in the Braintree area. The role supports the Contracts & Projects Manager to ensure smooth delivery of projects, manages smaller projects and assists with capital and annual plan projects.

• Experience in contract management or project coordination.
• Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage budgets, trackers and financial spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Support Contracts & Projects Manager to deliver assigned projects.
• Raise purchase orders, process invoices and update financial trackers.
• Maintain contracts register and manage contract renewals within deadlines.
• Support inspections of operational sites to ensure maintenance standards.
• Assist with Traffic Regulation Orders applications and park/event requests.
