Job summary

Coleman James Ltd is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead multiple clean water and wastewater projects in the North East/Yorkshire. You will oversee project managers, site teams and subcontractors, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to high standards.

The role involves strong client and stakeholder engagement, commercial awareness, and working within NEC contract frameworks on AMP7/AMP8 initiatives. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Contracts Manager or Senior PM in civil engineering.
• Experience delivering clean water and/or wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience on water industry frameworks (AMP7/AMP8).
• Knowledge of water treatment works, pipelines, pumping stations or related works.
• Strong NEC contracts experience.
• Excellent leadership and client management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and delivery teams.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Oversee delivery of clean water and wastewater projects.
• Manage project managers, site teams and subcontractors across locations.
• Ensure delivery within programme, budget and contract requirements.
• Maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor performance, reporting and risk management.
• Ensure HSE and quality standards compliance.
• Collaborate with commercial teams on NEC contract variations and costs.
• Support resource planning for water infrastructure frameworks.
