Job summary

Catering, a well-established fit-out and refurbishment contractor, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Hatfield.

You will manage projects from pre-construction through to completion with values between £1m–£5m, overseeing commercial management, budgets, subcontractor procurement and final accounts. A strong background in fit-out or refurbishment is essential, with excellent negotiation and communication skills.

We are working with a well-established and successful fit-out and refurbishment contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The company delivers high-quality commercial, industrial, office, education and specialist refurbishment and fit-out projects across London and the South East.

This is a great opportunity for someone who can combine strong commercial management with hands‑on project delivery.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to completion with project values between £1m – £5 million, including:

About You

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager or Project Surveyor with a main contractor background.

Ideally, you will have experience within fit‑out, refurbishment or commercial construction, together with:

• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Experience managing subcontractors and projects
• Good understanding of construction programmes
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• A commercially driven and proactive approach
