Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is seeking a Contracts Manager – Precast Concrete Solutions to cover a national remit from home. You will manage contracts for precast products and oversee site installation projects with a focus on safety and programme delivery.

The ideal candidate will have Contracts Manager or Project Manager experience within precast concrete or related sectors, strong communication skills, and be able to operate both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must have experience as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager
• Background in precast concrete / steelwork / timber frames preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Able to work both in a team and independently

Responsibilities

• Oversee contracts for precast concrete products including floors, stairs, walls, frames, columns and beams
• Plan and supervise site installation works to meet safety, efficiency and schedule
• Manage subcontractors and installation teams daily
• Provide weekly project updates and resolve site issues
• Coordinate with clients, installation teams and supply chain on technical queries
• Support site surveys and lift-plan preparation; report to Directors

The role of the Contracts Manager – Precast Concrete Solutions will involve:

• Contracts Manager position dealing with a range of high end manufactured precast concrete products such as prestressed flooring, precast stairs, precast walls, prestressed walls, precast frames, precast columns and precast beams
• Plan and oversee site installation works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme
• Manage subcontractors and installation teams on a daily basis, ensuring works are coordinated effectively
• Monitor installation progress, provide weekly project updates and address any site-based issues as they arise
• Liaise with clients, installation teams and the supply chain on technical queries, resolving issues and disputes where required
• Support site surveys and preparation of lift plans, while providing regular project updates to the Directors
• Working on projects ranging in value from £5,000 to £500,000

The ideal applicant will be a Contracts Manager – Precast Concrete Solutions with:

• Must have experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager or other related commercial roles
• Ideally will be from a precast concrete / steelwork / timber frames background
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Able to work within a team and individually
• Confident and articulate
