Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential developments across South Wales. You will lead site teams, monitor programmes, quality and safety, and ensure projects are delivered to budget and standards.

The candidate should come from a housebuilding background with proven experience across traditional build and timber frame projects, and hold CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications.

Job description

We are currently working with an established housebuilder who are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of developments across South Wales.

The role will cover a range of traditional build and timber frame housing developments, with responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, to the required quality standards and within budget.

The Role

• Oversee multiple residential developments across South Wales
• Manage and support Site Managers and wider site teams
• Monitor programme, quality, health & safety and commercial performance
• Ensure developments are delivered to company standards and build specifications
• Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments
• Carry out regular site visits and provide clear progress reporting
• Drive performance and ensure key build targets are achieved
• Identify and resolve issues across sites to keep projects on track

The Candidate

The successful candidate must come from a housebuilding background and have proven experience managing multiple residential developments.

You will ideally have experience across both traditional build and timber frame construction, together with a strong understanding of the South Wales housing market.

We are looking for someone with:

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar senior operational role within housebuilding
• Strong knowledge of residential construction
• Experience managing multiple sites and site teams
• Experience with traditional build and/or timber frame
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A good understanding of programme, quality, health & safety and commercial control
• A valid CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid
