Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London in Warrington is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead complex Public Sector/Healthcare refurbishment and new build projects.

Based in Warrington with site travel, you will manage procurement programmes, sub-contractors and site teams, ensuring safety, budgets and on-time delivery.

The role offers a competitive salary in the 60k–70k range plus car allowance and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering Public Sector/Commercial/Healthcare refurbishment & new build projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of the procurement programme.
• Create short term programmes using MS Project.
• Assist with the design element working closely with Design Managers.
• Manage the selection of sub-contractors.
• Manage site personnel, work activities and resources to meet the requirements of individual contracts.
• Monitor budget.
• Develop a programme, monitor progress and ensure the contracts are delivered on time.
• Ensure contracts comply with Health, Safety and Welfare requirements.
• Ensure site personnel (including visitors) are aware of their own Health, Safety and Welfare requirements.
• Manage the identification of site hazards and ensure assessments and risk control methods are implemented.
• Ensure the performance of reporting staff are monitor through regular appraisals and reviews.
• Ensure identified individual development/training needs are met.
• Maintain the trust and support of reporting personnel
• Support individuals who have problems that may affect their performance.
• Manage/implement procedures on Recruitment, Discipline and Grievance.

Job description

We are working with a long standing, reputable and established Main Contractor who work throughout the Lancashire region, specialising in Education and Healthcare projects alongside commercial/leisure projects up to a value of approximately 4m.

The company work on a number of long term frameworks and have a healthy pipeline of future of work. They work on both refurbishment and JCT D&B projects.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to join their close knit team on a permanent basis. They are looking for an ambitious individual who can also demonstrate longevity within their career history, ideally from a Regional Contractor background.

Based in their Warrington offices with site travel required, you will be responsible for:

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a stable and progressive career background, and have a strong background in the delivery of Public Sector/Commercial/Healthcare refurbishment & new build projects.

The salary on offer is between 60-70k+ car allowance and package.
