Despite their fast growth, they still care about every customer and contract. Their sites include schools, offices, medical, and leisure facilities. They pride themselves on attention to detail and delivering a thorough, reliable high-quality service.

To support their continued growth, they are recruiting a Contracts Manager to join their team. The role covers Slough, Maidenhead, and surrounding areas. Reporting to an Operations Manager, you will manage the site operations and ensure the smooth running of approximately 30-40 customer sites. The portfolio includes schools, offices, leisure, and medical sites.

This role involves managing 40-60 part-time cleaning staff, recruiting and training new staff as needed, and conducting regular quality audits with each customer. You will ensure high cleaning standards and maintain customer and staff satisfaction through excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  1. Performing regular site audits with customers
  2. Maintaining regular customer contact to ensure satisfaction
  3. Ensuring high standards of cleanliness at all sites
  4. Recruiting and managing cleaning staff
  5. Maintaining health and safety standards
  6. Communicating regularly with site teams about site-specific requirements
  7. Planning, facilitating, and monitoring ongoing training for staff
  8. Providing performance feedback and managing issues as they arise
  9. Ensuring sufficient cleaning equipment, materials, and consumables are available
  10. Ensuring sites are fully staffed, including managing absences and holidays
  11. Submitting payroll and other administrative tasks
  12. Attending regular meetings with regional management
The ideal candidate will:
  • Reside within or near the area covered by the role
  • Have a hands-on attitude with personnel management skills and business acumen
  • Be proactive, logical, and forward-thinking
  • Be flexible with working hours
  • Be knowledgeable of the cleaning industry
  • Have experience managing a team
  • Possess a strong desire to succeed and promote high customer service standards
  • Be self-motivated with excellent communication skills
  • Be responsible and supportive in team management
  • Hold a valid UK driver’s license, have satisfactory references, and the right to work in the UK

The salary is circa £28,000 with a total package of £30,000 per annum, including a company vehicle or mileage allowance, commission opportunities, and a revenue bonus.
