Job summary

EA Associates, a well-established family-run main contractor, is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join their growing team. You will oversee Design & Build projects across London and surrounding areas, delivering safely, on programme and to budget.

You will manage multiple projects, coordinate design teams and subcontractors, monitor progress and maintain strong client relationships. A hands-on, delivery-focused approach and a track record in D&B are essential to succeed in this

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contract Manager in a main contracting organisation.
• Strong track record delivering Design & Build construction projects.
• Experience in residential, commercial and education sectors.
• Solid understanding of contracts, procurement, programme management and commercial control.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead project teams effectively.
• Excellent communication, organisational and client-facing skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach in a close-knit business.

EA Associates are working with a well-established, family‑run main contractor seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join their growing team.

Operating across London and the surrounding areas, extending to the M25, the business delivers a varied portfolio of Design & Build (D&B) projects across the residential, commercial and education sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and delivery‑focused Contract Manager to join a business that combines a hands‑on approach with a strong reputation for quality, long‑term relationships and project delivery.

The Role

As Contract Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing multiple projects from pre‑construction through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing multiple construction projects across residential, commercial and educational sectors.
• Overseeing Design & Build projects, coordinating design teams, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Managing project programmes, budgets, procurement and commercial performance.
• Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, specifications and quality standards.
• Monitoring progress on site and supporting Project Managers and site teams to achieve key milestones.
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identifying and mitigating project risks, resolving issues and driving solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Contract Manager, or in a similar senior project delivery role, with a main contracting organisation.
• A strong track record delivering Design & Build construction projects.
• Experience across one or more of the residential, commercial and education sectors.
• A sound understanding of construction contracts, procurement, programme management and commercial control.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and lead project teams effectively.
• Excellent communication, organisational and client‑facing skills.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to work within a close‑kn​it business.

Location & Projects

Projects are based throughout London and the immediate surrounding areas, extending to the M25. The successful candidate should be comfortable travelling between project sites as required.
