About The Role
WildBrain is seeking a Contracts Manager to join our Legal & Business Affairs team in support of our CPLG licensing group — home to some of the world’s most iconic children’s brands, including Strawberry Shortcake, Teletubbies, and In the Night Garden. Reporting to the Senior Legal Affairs Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle and drafting agreements to secure new licensees and partners. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the efficient flow and execution of contracts across our growing pipeline.

Job Description
Support the full cycle contractual process from inception to execution:
- Input draft contract details into contracts management system
- Liaise with finance controller to obtain financial approvals
- Review deal terms to ensure accuracy; interpreting contractual comments, resolving contractual queries, and redrafting standard contract with agreed changes to obtain deal memo approval
- Issue revised drafts for review and/or signature from Licensees and/or Licensors
- Ensure any additional required documentation is supplied by Licensee (i.e.: manufacturers agreements, copyright assignments, insurance certificates and bank guarantees; issuing expiry letters where licenses not being renewed)
- Inform key stakeholders (i.e.: Finance, Product Development, Sales Team, and Brand Managers) when agreements have been executed and updating the CRM system
- Digitally filing fully executed contracts
- Build relationships with internal and external key stakeholders (i.e.: sales team, commercial directors, territory managing directors, brand managers and Licensees/Licensors)
- Support and attend meetings with your territory as necessary
- Collaborate with team of Contract Managers where necessary due to heavy workloads be prepared to help with priorities to assist with other territory contracts to ensure we reduce pipeline and achieve revenue
- Dealing with general enquiries via email, letter, and telephone
Qualifications
- Proven experience in contracts management, ideally within licensing, entertainment, music, publishing, merchandise licensing or media
- A legal degree is preferred, but equivalent experience is valued
- Strong commercial awareness, particularly around licensing deal terms
- Skilled at managing high volumes of contracts and stakeholders
- A collaborative team player with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
- A motivated self-starter with excellent organization, initiative, attention to detail, and work ethic
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment
- Thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment with competing priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, contract administration tools, and CRM platforms (training provided for internal systems)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
