Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London, a well-established main contractor, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team in Lancashire. You will oversee procurement programmes, sub-contractor selection, site resources and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of the procurement programme.
• Manage the selection of sub-contractors.
• Manage site personnel, work activities and resources to meet contract requirements.
• Monitor budget.
• Develop a programme, monitor progress and ensure contracts are delivered on time.
• Ensure contracts comply with Health, Safety and Welfare requirements.
• Ensure site personnel (including visitors) are aware of their Health, Safety and Welfare requirements.
• Manage the identification of site hazards and ensure assessments and risk control methods are implemented.
• Ensure the performance of reporting staff are monitored through regular appraisals and reviews.
• Ensure identified individual development/training needs are met.
• Maintain the trust and support of reporting personnel.
• Support individuals who have problems that may affect their performance.
• Manage/implement procedures on Recruitment, Discipline and Grievance.

We are working with a long standing, reputable and established Main Contractor who work throughout the Lancashire region, specialising in Education and Healthcare projects alongside commercial/leisure projects up to a value of approximately 10m.

The company are a cash rich business and have a rich heritage of approximately 100 years of trading.

The company work on a number of long term frameworks and have a healthy pipeline of future of work. They work on both refurbishment and JCT D&B projects.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to join their close knit team on a permanent basis. Based in their Lancashire offices with site travel required, you will be responsible for:

• Assist in the development of the procurement programme
• Manage the selection of sub-contractors
• Manage site personnel, work activities and resources to meet the requirements of individual contracts.
• Monitor budget
• Develop a programme, monitor progress and ensure the contracts are delivered on time.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a stable and progressive career background, and have a strong background in the delivery of Public Sector/Commercial/Healthcare refurbishment & new build projects.

The salary on offer is between 60-66k + car allowance and package.
