Job summary

Bimplus, a family-run renewable energy business covering Essex and East Anglia, is seeking an Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee Solar PV and Renewables projects from start to finish.

You will manage SHDF-funded contracts, coordinate site teams, ensure safety and contractual compliance, and maintain strong client relationships while delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Electrical/Solar industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects and handover to clients within deadlines.
• Prepare solar design proposals for client approval.
• Maintain CRM with accurate job information.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and surveyors.
• Resolve site/design issues promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct site visits to check progress, quality and safety.
• Control project programmes, budgets and cash flow.
• Ensure works comply with drawings and contract requirements.
• Attend client meetings as required.
• Ensure Health & Safety standards and procedures are followed.
• Prepare and review RAMS for clients.
• Provide technical support to the team and clients.

About the Role

A well-established, family-run renewable energy business covering Essex and East Anglia, specialising in Solar PV, Inverters, Batteries and Air Source Heat Pumps, is looking for a Contracts Manager to join the team. This role will run a number of newly acquired SHDF-funded contracts, managing projects from start to finish while building strong client relationships and acting as the main point of contact.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing multiple projects, ensuring smooth handover to clients within agreed deadlines
• Preparing solar design proposals ready for client approval
• Maintaining and updating the CRM system with accurate job information
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and surveyors
• Resolving site and design issues efficiently and in a timely manner
• Conducting site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety
• Controlling project programmes, budgets, and cash flow
• Ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
• Attending client meetings as required
• Ensuring all Health & Safety standards and company procedures are fully adhered to
• Preparing and reviewing RAMS for clients
• Providing technical support to the team for existing customers and clients

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in the Electrical/Solar industry
• Full clean UK Driving Licence
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• A friendly, professional approach to dealing with customers and clients
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• Experience working under SHDF or ECO schemes
